Sleepless in Idaho

Another sleepless night.  The same teething and nightmares, but add in my trying very hard not to stress.  Kim's job was guaranteed until next year, but they decided they didn't need him anymore after today . . . er, yesterday. So, for the second time in a year, we're facing an unknown period of unemployment.  I know God will take care of us, but I am really wishing I knew just how He's going to do it - and how long He'll take about it.

But for now, I'll distract myself by recounting some more of yesterday.  It was one of those days with Yonah, unquestionably linked to his difficulty sleeping the night before.  The kids and I were over half an hour late to discipleship group (Kim went separately), due to Yonah demonstrating more of the stubbornness I showed so much of as a little girl.  I had to tackle, sit on, and pin the other hand between my knees to get his coat on - not even the threat of not going to Gammy's house was effective!  I would have just given up and stayed home, but Kim didn't take his guitar with him.

After group (in which Twilight, Edward, and Bella were debated), Yonah helped decorate Gammy's Christmas tree.  It was one of the rare times I did not have my camera on me, but I will treasure that memory forever, or until I forget it - whichever comes first, hehe.  He had so much fun, and I was really proud of him for being such a big helper.
